The Saratoga House

house.JPG (40451 bytes)
Notes: I started looking at houses again in late October. It wasn't long until I found this house. It had great curb appeal and it didn't look like all the other houses that have been redone in vinyl siding and a quick roof job.

The original house had cedar shingles and cedar siding. There is still evidence of the original siding in the basement. It has had a new roof installed and the basement has been waterproofed. New siding including the stonework seen around the base of the house was added sometime in the 1960's after the addition off the kitchen and the new garage were built.

I had an inspection done on the house on November 14th. Some of the things he found are listed below along with things I'd just like to do for asthetics and whatnot. I'll try to keep it updated as I finish things. I'll start immediatly after I close on it (Hopefuly in mid-December).

Year Built: 1919
Sq Footage: Aprox. 891
Foundation: Basement
Garage: 2 Car
